On Dec 1st I spoke about cows to a less usual crowd: a bunch of stakeholders and other experts on energy efficiency, renewables, and smart grid technologies - at the EPIC Symposium hosted by the California Energy Commission.
I joined Theresa Pistochini from the Western Cooling Efficiency Center (UC Davis) to talk about our project "Improving water and energy efficiency in California dairy industry" that aims to find more sustainable solutions to cool cattle in CA (the presentation can be accessed here). We shared our section with Dr. Larry Dale (Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory), Laurie Park (Water Energy Innovations) and Dr. Joon Min (BKT), who also emphasize the importance of water and its impacts in CA.
EPIC is an energy innovation funding program that seeks to drive efficient, coordinated investment in new and emerging energy solutions. The Symposium highlighted innovative solutions for reaching California’s 2030 energy goals. I am proud to be part of that!
